Heresy – Oil paint on stretched canvas 61cm x 61cm 2024
A belief profoundly at odds with societies perceived wisdom., particularly going against establised religious dogma. A belief pursued for personal gain. Heresy featured in Dante’s circles as religion played such an important role in 14th century Italy. Perhaps in my third series I will replace heresy with sloth, which seems to me to be far more relevant in modern society. What do you think?
