Telling the truth and trust are intertwined. We live in a world of fake news, instant messaging and information overload. It is tempting to consider the occassional ‘white lie’ acceptable; to bend the truth if it suits us, or we think we will not be found out. If we follow the Paridisio morals we should never need to lie. Trust is earned not freely given.
